Senior Management Bios

At Hart Systems, our senior management team has many years of retail inventory experience, and they share a passion for delivering the best inventory solution in the industry and exceeding our clients' expectations.

Harvey Goldsmith, Founder

ImageHarvey Goldsmith founded Hart Systems in 1964. Through the 1970s and 1980s, Hart Systems was the largest inventory sheet keypunch service in the country. With the growing use of bar codes in the retail community during the 1980s, Harvey converted the business from sheet processing to bar code scanning - inventing the rental model that is currently in place today. This rental model provides retailers with all the tools they need to take an accurate, timely and cost-effective physical inventory.

Harvey continued to lead the company to its current position as the premier self-inventory provider for the retail industry. In 2009, after 45 years in the inventory business, Harvey retired - but not before positioning Hart Systems for future growth by selling a majority stake to Topspin Partners, a private equity firm based on Long Island.

Jared Goldsmith, President, COO

Jared then focused his efforts on sales as a successful Business Development Executive, and was promoted to VP Sales & Client Services. In September 2005, he was appointed President & COO.

Jared's understanding of the business, and his intense focus on customer satisfaction and continuous process improvement, continue to help him position Hart for the future.
