Whenever a scanner is placed in a cradle to transmit data to Hart, the data files are broken up into small blocks of 1KB to 4KB data packets and then validated using a checksum calculation.  The data itself is sent in a proprietary binary format that spans data files.  It is not a text file, is not human readable, and is unintelligible to any source other than the proprietary software residing on the Hart Systems server.
