To ensure that the Hart Self-Inventory System is always up and running, we’ve instituted the following safeguards:

Electrical Back-up

In the event of a power failure, all critical systems will automatically switch over to a full-scale electrical generator, capable of running our entire server farm indefinitely.

Telecommunications Redundancy

Since many of our systems rely upon data transmissions over the phone lines and/or internet, we maintain redundant capabilities between the two largest telecommunication providers – AT&T and Verizon.  In the event of a telecommunications issue with one of these providers, Hart can switch all activity over to the other provider in a matter of minutes. 

Off-Site Web Hosting

Our web server is managed by Hart Systems, but resides in a co-location facility operated by one of the largest managed web-hosting providers.  Their infrastructure monitoring tools and firewall implementation minimize our exposure, and our Cisco Certified partner periodically reviews the security scheme at the router level to insure the highest level of data security.  We also maintain a separate, back-up web server, in another part of the country, which can be brought online immediately, if necessary.
